MF Communications continuous its ISO 14001 accreditation
MF Communications has been reaccredited with the BS EN ISO 14001 for its environmental management system. This means that we can continue with our policy of recycling and re-using telecom equipment in line with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE).
The WEEE Directive was introduced in January 2007, with the aim of reducing the amount of electrical waste entering landfill sites, as well as encouraging re-use and recycling of electrical equipment so as to reduce production. Importers, manufacturers and re-branders of electrical and electronic equipment are obliged to comply with the WEEE regulations, putting into place systems that allow customers to recycle their end of life devices. In addition, these companies are required to be a member of Producer Compliance Schemes, which ensure that recovery and disposal of e-waste is undertaken in an environmentally safe manner. MF Communications continues its accreditation through the BSI scheme.
