MF Comms Business to donate for Disney trip cause
Fraser Young, 37, of Linden Chase, who works at MF Communications in Tunbridge Wells, is planning to make a hefty donation to Dorton House in order to help blind youngsters go to Disneyland Paris.
MF Communications is offering £500 to the Royal London Society for Blind People for the first ten new customers who sign up for a corporate telephone package.
Mr Young saw the story about the children’s plight in the Chronicle and decided to help.
He said: “It’s a rum do if a well-heeled area like Kent can’t raise the charity cash for these deserving youngsters to have a life-changing trip.”
Guy Roberts, a spokesman for the Royal London Society for Blind People, says: “So far kind-hearted Chronicle readers have raised around £1,000 for the trip, which is fantastic, but we still need around £4,000, or the journey will be cancelled.
“So Fraser’s idea will go a long way to help but we’re not out of the woods yet.”
Last month Alice Golding ran the London Marathon for the cause, raising £641.87 and other donors have contacted the Chronicle to see how much to donate.
Meanwhile Sainsbury’s in Otford have raised more than £2,000 for the school, £229.85 of which will go to the appeal.
