Support for end-of-life telecoms products
Recently, MF Communications has been working with an Avaya Partner in the Middle East, supporting them with end-of-life telecoms equipment.
The company is replacing over 500 Avaya CS1000 systems for a local Government Agency. Being a public sector organisation, the replacement process is slow and so far, the company has replaced 140 systems.
They approached MF Communications to assist with the support of the remaining 360 systems still in operation, but which cannot be maintained by the original manufacturer due to them being declared end-of-life.
As part of the upgrade roadmap, extending over 3-5 years due to the extent of the project, MF Communications will be assisting with the support required to keep these remaining systems in operation until such time as they can be upgraded.
In the case of this project, it is not a financial factor that prevents upgrading. The operation to replace all 500 Avaya CS1000 systems is such a huge one, it will take a considerable length of time to complete.
