Delivering high definition audio, calls made using the Avaya 9608 IP Phone are crystal clear and easy to understand due to the wideband audio codec in the handset and headset.

Features include a monochrome display screen and 24 administrative buttons. Four softkeys for everyday functions include transfer, conference and forwarding, plus quick access to the corporate directory, while eight buttons include dual-colour Red/Green LEDs.

Hard buttons are available for phone, messages, contacts, history, home, navigation cluster, headset, speaker, volume, mute, whilst red LEDs alert for speaker, mute, headset, message and phone history.

The Avaya 9608 IP Phone has a full duplex speaker and wideband audio in both the handset and headset. The ergonomic, hearing aid compatible handset has the option to support a TTD acoustic coupler.

A secondary Gigabit Ethernet port provides connection for a PC, and with the addition of up to three 12 or 24 button Expansion Modules, this allows high-speed call handling.

Accommodating advanced unified communications solutions, the Avaya 9608 IP Phone supports Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-based infrastructure on the Avaya Aura platform. In addition, the Power-over Ethernet Class 1 design with “sleep mode” allows for reduced energy consumption and lower costs.
